Bio
Jean has been associated with the Health Sciences Library since 1994. During that time, she has provided information and consultation services to faculty, staff, and students across the range of Health Affairs schools and UNC Hospitals. She currently serves as the library liaison to UNC Health Care Administration. In that capacity, she provides knowledge-based information to hospital managers involved in patient safety, quality improvement, risk management, and operational decision making.
Having worked in public libraries before becoming a health sciences librarian, Jean has a longstanding interest in consumer health. She is the library liaison to the hospitals’ Patient Resource Centers and a member of the UNC Healthcare Patient and Family Education Committee.
