Kellie Walters, MPH, CHES: mHealth & Consumer Health Specialist
Kellie Walters is the mHealth & Consumer Health Specialist at the Health Sciences Library (HSL). In her role, Kellie works to establish HSL as a premier mHealth (mobile health) resource for faculty and students. To that end, she keeps abreast of current mobile research, writes content about mobile, and plans mHealth activities at the library.
Kellie also provides support for NC Health Info, a consumer health website for North Carolinians. The latest edition of NC Health Info is optimized for mobile and includes listings of mobile health apps.
In May 2014, Kellie received a Master of Public Health from the Health Behavior Department at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. While she was a student, Kellie worked as a graduate research assistant at HSL, focusing on mobile and consumer health, laying the groundwork for her current projects.
Kellie welcomes conversations and questions about mobile and consumer health.
