Does not fund students directly; provides assistance and instruction on the best use of their resources to help you find appropriate funding opportunities and craft strong applications for them. A large multidisciplinary database of funding opportunities, accessible with a UNC email address. Includes links to user guides and resources.

Search over 40,000 funding opportunities from more than 10,000 federal, public, non-profit, and private sponsors. Registered users can set up and save search preferences, sign up for email notifications, organize and export funding searches, and share funding opportunities.
Access: Off Campus Access is available for: UNC-Chapel Hill students, faculty, and staff; UNC Hospitals employees; UNC-Chapel Hill affiliated AHEC users.
SPIN Plus replaces COS-Pivot (phased out by October 31, 2017).
All COS- Pivot users should review their Pivot search preferences and set up comparable preferences in SPIN Plus.
UNC users are encouraged to register a SPIN Plus user profile to take advantage of customization features and to set up email notifications.
Click the Sign In link (upper right hand corner), then “Need to create a user account?” Provide your first and last names, UNC email address, and a username.
After the registration request is approved, you will receive an email notification with a link to set your password (when setting your password, ignore the “current password” field).
