Reference / Citation Management Tools

It is a good idea to learn to use a reference / citation management program early in your studies.

These programs are used to:

  • Store and organize references of what you are reading (and what you plan to read).
  • Insert accurate citations and bibliographies in your writing according to any style you need and change between styles if you need to do so.

Review the information about the programs below and then choose one and get started. If you decide to use a different program later you can move everything you have already stored to the new program.
