Use NC Health Info to find reliable, easy-to-use information about health insurance, choosing a doctor or health care service, getting a second opinion, electronic health records and more to help you become a better informed patient and navigate the health care system. NC Health Info also links to evaluated information about health conditions, mental health disorders, drugs & pharmaceuticals, and treatments & procedures.

NC Health Info is a service of the Health Sciences Library and is maintained by volunteer librarians statewide.

Health Literacy

The Health Literacy Guide contains information about the importance of health literacy, best practices, and resources you can use to create educational materials everyone can understand. The Guide includes information for clinicians and librarians.

Your Health Radio Show

YOUR HEALTH® is a weekly one hour radio talk show on patient health produced by the University of North Carolina Department of Family Medicine. The show is co-hosted by Dr. Adam Goldstein and Dr. Cristy Page, nationally known physicians, teachers and researchers.

YOUR HEALTH® provides practical health-related news and information in a convenient manner that is easy to understand. The show features health experts, patient experiences, and health topics in the news. The Health Sciences Library partners with the show to provide links to more information about the topics discussed each week.
