Media Design Services  

 Interested in incorporating multimedia or social media into your scholarly and professional pursuits?  If you want to use video, images, audio or other media in an assignment, presentation, publication, poster, or web site, you can get help from staff at the Health Sciences Library.

Examples of projects that we can help with include: 

• Developing online learning products such as interactive tutorials and web-based course materials
• Designing scholarly posters or flyers
• Creating digital audio/visual files for classroom, research, or clinical use
• Utilizing Web 2.0 tools such as blogs, wikis, Facebook, Twitter, and RSS feeds
• Finding existing materials to use in presentations
• Understanding copyright, fair use, and appropriate attribution or citation for the materials you use

Library staff can also consult with you if you wish to establish a “research day” poster presentation event for your program.

Need a computer with media design software?  The South Campus Study Commons and the Undergraduate Library Design Lab have computers  with a wide range of media design software, including Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat.  Video editing software is available in the Digital Media Lab in the undergraduate library. Lastly, for faculty & instructors, another option is the Center for Faculty Excellence Teaching Resource Lab.
