Welcome!  In this guide you'll find a selection of resources helpful when researching iconography.

European: Dictionaries, monographs, and web sources on general iconography, classical mythology, and Jewish and Christian symbolism.

Asian: Resources covering South Asian, Buddhist, Hindu, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean iconography and mythology.

African: Dictionaries and monographs dealing with African and ancient Egyptian symbols, mythology, and iconography.

Latin American: Links to dictionaries, monoraphs, and archival collections dealing with Mayan, Aztec, Andean, and Kiche cultures.

Native North American: Works dealing with the mythology and iconography of Native North American peoples.

Articles: A selection of resources, primarily databases, in which to search for articles related to art and art history, iconography, and the general humanities.
