Library Data Services caters to researchers interested in working with data, mapping, texts, visualization, and technology. Many of these services are available online. Davis Library Data Services, located on the second floor of Davis Library, offers:

  • A computing lab with specialized software for GIS and data visualization & analysis.
  • Walk-in assistance provided by knowledgeable student consultants during set hours
  • Consultations with specialists for more in-depth inquiries (by appointment).
  • Spaces for collaboration and presentation, complete with white boards and external displays.
  • Technology short courses and programs that promote digital scholarship.

Manuscript Submissions, Approvals, Corrections

The NIH Manuscript Submission System (NIHMS) Help Desk can assist with problems or questions related to:

  • Manuscript submissions and status check
  • Manuscript approval
  • Manuscript corrections (even if the manuscript is already in the PubMed Central database)

My NCBI Accounts, My Bibliography Problems eg. Adding Citations, Linking Awards

The NCBI Help Desk can assist with problems or questions related to:

  • My NCBI account problems including setup, linking to an eraCommons account, and setting up a delegate
  • adding citations to (or removing citations from) My NCBI / My Bibliography
  • linkng awards to publication citations in My NCBI / My Bibliography

Grants and eraCommons Accounts

The eRA Commons Help Desk can assist with problems or questions related to:

  • accessing or managing grants in eraCommons
  • obtaining or accessing an eraCommons account
  • setting up a delegate for an eraCommons user/account
