The UNC Library catalog contains resources on culture, social conditions, and travel in various countries. One way to locate information is to conduct a Subject Heading search, which often consists of a country name and topical subdivision.
From the library homepage, choose "Subject" from the dropdown menu next to the search box, and enter the name of a country into the search box. A number of different suggestions for terms that can be added to the name to conduct a more specific search should appear. The following terms may also be useful:
|- social life and customs||- guidebooks|
|- social conditions||- description and travel|
For sources on international business culture and etiquette, try one of the following terms followed by the name of a country or region:
|- intercultural communication||- etiquette|
|- business etiquette||- business communication|
You can also begin by conducting a keyword search. Once you find a relevant resource, click on the "Subjects" tab in the catalog record to find ideas for search terms you might use to locate similar resources.
