    This is an easy to use, online mapping resource. Register your Esri Global Account or create a public account (do not sign up for the trial) and make a great looking map in minutes that you can share online and embed in websites.

    "Fusion Tables is an experimental data visualization web application to gather, visualize, and share larger data tables."
  • ReferenceUSA (licensed for UNC only)
    Search and map business listings
  • Social Explorer (licensed for UNC only)
    Make reports and download demographic data tables from 1940 to 2010. Create maps in an easy-to-use interface (see their how-to videos). Maps can be exported as PowerPoint presentations or as images.
  • SimplyMap (licensed for UNC only)
    SimplyMap is a web-based mapping application that enables users to quickly and easily create professional-quality thematic maps and reports using extensive demographic, business and marketing data.

    Bamboo DiRT is a registry of digital research tools for scholarly use.
