 About

What is in this guide?

This is a research guide to Russian and Soviet history based on materials held at UNC-Chapel Hill Libraries. The guide outlines general strategies for discovering relevant resources in American libraries and provides an annotated list of specific recommended resources held at UNC.

An earlier version of this guide was prepared by Professor Donald J. Raleigh and edited by Nadia Zilper, Curator of Slavic and East European Collections (retired). This new version of the guide has been updated and edited by Kirill Tolpygo, Interim Librarian for Slavic and East European Resources. Special thanks to Hannah Marchman and Mary Mellon for their invaluable contribution to this project.
