I am the Bioinformatics and Research Data Librarian at the UNC-Chapel Hill Health Science Library (HSL). In this role, I provide consultation and educational services to bioinformatics and other UNC researchers in the areas of data discovery, bioinformatics methods and tools, data management, and research impact measurement and visualization.
I serve as the Program Coordinator for the Research Hub @ HSL, lead the UNC Libraries ORCID Team and the HSL Data Catalog Pilot Project, and co-lead the HSL Impact Measurement & Visualization Team.
I have a background in information services, online resources and digital library systems development, and managed HSL's Application Development Services Department prior to taking on the Bioinformatics Librarian role in 2007. I held an internship at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences Library before coming to the UNC Health Sciences Library in 1995.
