Discovering Library Resources with Keywords

Step 1: Go to the library homepage: https://library.unc.edu/.

Step 2: Take 10 minutes to explore the assigned resource by searching a topic related to this course and decide what you will present in class.

Step 3: Present your findings to the class. 

You might consider talking about:

  • What was searching like?
  • Did you have to try different keywords and combinations?
  • Did you find anything particularly interesting about your resource?

 

 

 

In-Class Activity: Evaluating Sources

At the end of this exercise, you will have:

  1. Evaluated sources provided in class for relevance, authority, and credibility.
  2. Gained familiarity with questions to ask and consider when evaluating sources.
