Entrepreneurial law also involves paying attention to news, politics, trends in business, and other factors. The UNC Library and UNC Law Library offer access to several major newspapers, as well as many legal news sources.
The UNC Law Library is now offering digital subscription access to the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal to UNC Law students, faculty, and staff.
The digital subscriptions are paid by the UNC Law Library, but each interested reader will need to register directly with the newspaper in order to have access. To properly register with each newspaper, use the following instructions:
- New York Times: Follow the instructions in My Carolina Law to create your account.
- Length of Subscription: Your registration will remain active for a full year. At the end of the year, you must follow these instructions again and re-register to "renew" your subscription.
- Wall Street Journal: Follow the instructions in My Carolina Law to create your account.
- Length of Subscription: One additional requirement for WSJ access is that to keep your digital subscription active, you will need to login through the My Carolina Law WSJ link at the beginning of each semester (fall, spring, and summer).
- Financial Times: Follow the instructions through My Carolina Law to create your account.
If you have any questions or would like assistance setting up the NYT, FT, or WSJ digital subscriptions, please contact Donna Nixon (dnixon@email.unc.edu). Faculty members can also contact their library liaisons.
- Washington Post: Login with your ONYEN here.
- UNC libraries offer digital access to the Washington Post for UNC students, staff, and faculty. This service is not available to those outside the UNC community. This subscription includes access to archives going back to 2005.
If you have trouble accessing the Washington Post, please contact the library reference desk.
