University Libraries' Staff Guide to Generative AI: GenAI Unconference

Unconference Information

What is an unconference?

An unconference is a participant-driven meeting where the agenda is created by the attendees at the start of the event.  This format encourages open discussion, idea sharing, and collaborative problem-solving.

Purpose

The purpose of the unconference is to transform the UNC Libraries with GenAI by turning internal insights into action.  We believe the ideas from Libraries' staff will advance our campus community.

Goals

We will realize our purpose by achieving the following goals:

  • Facilitate Peer Engagement: Fostering a sense of community and shared purpose by creating opportunities for participants to connect and collaborate with peers.
  • Encourage Idea and Project Sharing: Enabling the exchange of innovative solutions and best practices.
  • Promote Learning from Diverse Perspectives: Enrich participants' understanding and provide inspiration for new approaches for leveraging GenAI at UNC Libraries.
