Finding the most recently acquired titles
To retrieve the most recent acquisitions when conducting a library materials search, go to the "Sort by Revalence " drop-down menu option and select "Year (new to old)." 
Finding Graphic Novels, Comics and Zines
UNC Libraries have three relevant collections that contain Iberian, Latin American and Latinx graphic narratives. However, the collections do not exhaustively contain every example of the genre; for example, Memín Pinguín and La familia Burrón, two well-known Mexican comic series, are housed in the Rare Books Collection and are thus not included in the linked Mexican Comic Collection.
A great way to search for specific titles is to use subject headings and the country of interest:
- Comics (graphic works), as in "Comics (graphic works) - Argentina"
- Comic books, strips, etc as in "Comic books, strips, etc - Mexico"
- Graphic novels, as in "Graphic novels -- Spain"
- Zines, as in "Zines - Chile"
Finding Small Press Material
The UNC Libraries collect small press titles to document 21st century popular and literary culture and to support curricular and research interests. You will find them cataloged under the subject heading
You can then view only the titles in Spanish by using the "Language" facet on the left-hand side.
You can also use the "Subject" facet to refine your search:
