Current Procedural Terminology (CPT)
Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) is a a uniform coding system listing descriptive terms and five-digit codes used when billing medical, surgical, and diagnostic services performed by physicians and other health care professionals. It first appeared in 1966 and is published annually by the American Medical Association.
