The NC Pattern Jury Instructions Committee creates and compiles the North Carolina Pattern Jury Instructions. These are sample jury instructions that judges can use for cases and provide juries with guidance for reaching decisions in particular cases. The Pattern Jury Instructions are available through the UNC School of Government's website. They can be downloaded for free in PDF format or they may be purchased in software or hard copy formats.
