Curamericas Global
Curamericas Global works with rural communities in Guatemala to provide
health services to mothers and young children. Volunteers can work in
community outreach programs and in construction/repair projects for maternity
houses. No special training is required but Curamericas works to arrange
special projects for volunteers with relevant medical expertise. Volunteer
opportunities are also available in Raleigh, NC.

International Service Learning (ISL)
ISL enlists medical and educational volunteer teams in order to assist
underserved populations in Central and South America, Mexico, the
Caribbean, and Africa.  Their programs work closely with host countries
and provide hands-on experience in a wide range of disciplines, including
nursing, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, prenatal/pediatrics, physical
