Gold for Gold was a program from the RSC to support open access, however the program has concluded as of 2017.
ACS Author Rewards is an open access stimulus program which gives two rewards, worth $750 each (a total value of $1,500) for each article published in an ACS journal in 2014. There is no limit to the number of rewards an author can earn.
Published corresponding authors will receive an email containing their ACS Author Rewards in the form of a promotional code. Rewards can be redeemed against the cost of any ACS AuthorChoice option to make articles openly available. Use your ACS Author Rewards to comply with a funder’s open access requirements or to support global public access for your published article.
