Search results are initially presented via a Highlights page, which summarizes mention counts and sources, top outputs, regional attention, and major subject areas.
The Research Outputs page presents a list of publications retrieved by the search along with their Altmetric Attention Scores. Results can be sorted and filtered according to overall or source-specific scores. Additionally, the page's contents can be exported as a CSV or converted to a saved search.
The Timeline page provides an adjustable visualization of mentions and their sources over a range of dates. Like the Research Outputs page, its contents can be filtered, exported, and saved.
Consult the Demographics tab for map and tabular views of mentions' countries of origin. Data from X is displayed by default; Facebook, news, and policy sources are also available.
The Journals page compares mention types to the journals in which publications retrieved by a search appeared. It is sorted by mention count per journal by default, but can also be re-sorted or searched for specific journals.
Altmetric Details Page
The Altmetric Details Page associated with a publication provides summary information about its mentions as well as links to each one sorted by source.
Access a publication's details page by selecting it from your search results.
Each details page consists of several tabs. The Summary tab specifies the number of mentions per source (e.g., news outlets, blogs, and policy documents) and presents geographical information for X (formerly Twitter) engagement by default.
The Summary tab also provides additional context for a publication's Attention Score, by comparing it to outputs from the same source, outputs of similar types, and all outputs tracked by Altmetric.
Other tabs are named according to the sources of mentions they contain. For example, the News tab displays a linked list of mentions by news outlets.
The Dimensions Citations tab provides a link to the selected publication's entry in Dimensions as well as DOI links to citing publications when possible. For more information about Dimensions, visit our relevant guide.
