Log in to YouTube with the University Libraries Learning credentials (contact nkburm@email.unc.edu for these credentials when you have recorded a video you would like to upload).
Select 'Your Videos' from the left sidebar menu.
This will take you into the University Libraries Learning YouTube Channel menu.
Navigate to the channel dashboard option in the left sidebar. Here you will see the option to upload a video. Click 'Upload Videos' to get started.
Next, give your video a descriptive title and description. For example:
Title: WordPress Training 1: Logging In
Description: Training on WordPress at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill University Libraries. Video covers logging in. Uploaded by Nora Burmeister.
The video upload screen is also where you can set your video language and captioning certification. Unless you are recording in another language, your language should be set to English (United States), and your captioning certification should be set to 'This content has never aired on television.'
You can also indicate that this recording is not intended for children.
Next, set the visibility for your video. All videos uploaded to the University Libraries Learning YouTube channel should be set to unlisted.
Save your settings and wait for your video upload to complete. Once the video is uploaded, you can add your own captions, or wait for auto-generated captions that you can then edit. Once captions have been formatted correctly, you're ready to embed your video or share the direct link.
