This webpage provides access to selected Census Bureau databases, including: Building Permits, Census Tract Street Locator, County Business Patterns, International Trade Data, Nonemployer Statistics, USA Counties, Detailed Occupation by Race, Hispanic Origin and Sex, Census Tract Street Locator, and 1990 Public Law 94-171 Data.

This website provides data from several different US Census Bureau surveys and programs. The site has several different ways of searching for data, but they all guide the user to specific datasets or surveys that best meet the search criteria. Topics covered include demographic information about people, housing, and business and industry.

On this site, HathiTrust provides access to historical information from U.S. Census City and County Data Books from 1947 to 2007.

The Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) holdings of the County and City Data Books cover the years 1944-1977, 1983, and 1988, and consist of several datasets that include economic, demographic, governmental, and electoral data for diverse areas such as regions, counties, individual states, census divisions, cities, Standard Metropolitan Statistical Areas (SMSAs), Standard Federal Administrative Regions, and incorporated and non-incorporated places with over 25,000 inhabitants, in the entire United States. The data were obtained mainly from the United States Bureau of the Census, but were also acquired from various other federal agencies and national sources, including private sources. A major purpose of this data series was to provide multi-area comparisons or single-area profiles. The datasets include items drawn from decennial censuses, economic censuses, censuses of population and housing, and censuses of agriculture.

In addition to data, this resource has essays that help put the data in historical context. This edition is produced by a team of scholars, not the U.S. Census Bureau, but it is an approved successor to previous editions that were produced by the U.S. Census Bureau.

This website maintained by the Missouri Census Data Center provides easy access to U.S. Census and American Community Survey data. Users can find relevant data sets to particular states and counties, such as population estimates by age. The site provides other tools, such as the circular area profiles.

The State Data Center is a consortium of agencies cooperating with the US Bureau of the Census to provide the public with data about the state and its component geographic areas. The SDC lead agency is located in the Demographic and Economic Analysis Section of OSBM, where it provides extensive resources for retrieving statistical information. The site provides guidance on where to start a search for information and links to affiliates for training and statistical information.

This site contains North Carolina population estimates and projections, which are used to distribute shared state revenue to local governments. Estimates and projections are provided for state, county, and municipal levels.
