Created by Health Science Librarians

Analytical Views

The Analytical Views pane allows you to analyze your search results. A summary of Analytical Views is shown on the right side of the screen. You can expand Analytical Views by clicking anywhere in the 'Analytical Views' box at the top.

You can change the document type for the analytical view by selecting under the search bar (publications, datasets, grants, patents, clinical trials, or policy documents).

The document type can be changed under the search box. Analytical Views can be expanded by clicking in the Analytical Views box on the right

There are several different headings available within analytical views, shown on the left side under analytical views:

OVERVIEW heading: summarize your results over time.

COMPARE heading: compare two research organizations or funders organized based on Research Category.

All other headings: group your search results based on the heading, such as by RESEARCH CATEGORIES, RESEARCHERS, or FUNDERS, among others. You can view a summary of the search results in an aggregated table. There may also be other options available to visualize the data, such as timeline, heatmap, and network visualizations.

Select from different headings under the analytical views on the left side. Toggle between visualizations to the right of the heading selection

More information on the visualizations available in Analytical Views can be found on the Dimensions page on visualizations.
