About Me

As a Clinical Librarian at the Health Sciences Library, I provide reference, instruction, and expert searching services to students, faculty, and staff in the UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health. I primarily serve as the liaison to the Department of Surgery, in which capacity I collaborate on surgical research, locate information to support evidence-based surgical practice, and assist with clinical education. I'm always happy to provide advice and training on literature searches for research and clinical queries, citation management, scholarly communications endeavors, and efficient use of library resources.

I obtained my Master of Science in Library Science degree from UNC-CH's School of Information and Library Science, before which I worked on the medical informatics team of a Federal Qualified Health Center in Waco, TX. My research interests include streamlining literature searching methods with an emphasis on systematic reviews; accessibility and usability of library resources; and instructional methods in library education.
