How can I help you?

As the North Carolina Research and Instruction Librarian, it’s my responsibility to work with the public to support their research with all materials held at Wilson Special Collections Library related to the history, people, and culture of the state. It is also my responsibility to teach and instruct with special collections materials with a focus on North Carolina and primary sources. Most of the classes I teach are undergraduate level, but I also teach graduate classes, K-12, and specialized sessions for the general public.

Our research room is currently open by appointment: https://library.unc.edu/wilson/visit/

I am always interested in consulting with researchers and instructors, discussing potential collaborations, and hearing from our community ways in which we can improve our services.

You can book a consultation here: https://calendar.lib.unc.edu/appointments/scarrier/ or feel free to email me at scarrier@email.unc.edu.
