This is an internal guide for UNC - Libraries WordPress Training.

This training is intended only for employees of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Libraries.

WordPress Training Introduction

To complete UNC-Chapel Hill University Libraries' WordPress training, please work through these videos. The first group of trainings are the basics, this is what you will be assessed on based on the criteria below. For the more specialized parts of our WordPress site, please refer to the second group of trainings to find specialized video trainings. 

After following along with the videos you should have a WordPress page that has these specifications 

  • A title
  • An assigned parent and template
  • A friendly URL
  • Nested headings 
  • 1-2 paragraphs of info 
  • A embedded link
  • 2 columns with ShortCode
  • An Image with alt(ernative) text

After you are finished creating a sample WordPress page with the qualifications above please email me back at nkburm@email.unc.edu with a link to your WordPress page. I will get back to you on if you successfully completed UNC-Chapel Hill University Libraries' WordPress page training.
