European Studies: Home

Welcome to the European Studies Guide! What is in this guide?

This guide is designed to assist educators and scholars in investigating the institutions of the European Union and contains subtopics such as politics, history, culture and economics. This guide does not include all the resources about Europe in the collection, but is intended to provide good starting points for research.

Collecting research materials from and about Europe in all European languages has long been a high priority at the University Library at UNC Chapel Hill. The European collections support vibrant programs in all disciplines, including business and economics, cultural and visual studies, history of science and medicine, history, literary study, music, philosophy, political science, public policy, and religion. In addition to supporting individual academic departments, the European Collections are also in support of the work at CES, The Center for European Studies (UNC is a Title VI Center).
