Government Information, Data, and Statistics

  • National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)
    The primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education.
  • Department of State
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
    CDC is the nation's health protection agency, working to protect America from health and safety threats, both foreign and domestic.
  • U.S. Census Bureau topics
    Has statistics on a variety of topics, including health, education, and income & poverty.
  • Bureau of Labor Statistics
    The principal fact-finding agency for the Federal Government in the broad field of labor economics and statistics.
  • Statistical Abstract of the United States
    The Statistical Abstract of the United States is a comprehensive collection of statistics on the social, political, and economic conditions of the United States, with recent data for states and metro areas, as well as some on foreign countries.

    Customized Google search of 700 of the most important US and international think tanks. Think tanks are institutions affiliated with universities, governments, advocacy groups, foundations, non-governmental organizations, and businesses that generate public policy research and analysis.

    Monitors the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews and news releases.

    Major index to economic literature, produced by the American Economic Association. It includes citations and abstracts from 400 major journals as well as articles in collective volumes (essays, proceedings, etc.), books, book reviews, dissertations, and working papers. Full text articles are linked if they are available in any other EBSCO database to which we subscribe. Currently there are links to full text articles in approximately 200 journals.
