This site provides access to data sets and maps for the U.S. Cenus Bureau's estimates for poverty in states, counties, and school districts. These estimates are used to distribute federal programs.
This webpage contains links to North Carolina point-in-time count data since 2008, which measures the amount of homeless statewide for one night, and nationwide Annual Homeless Assessment Reports to Congress (AHAR) since 2008, which use nationwide point-in-time count data and Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS) which measure the number of sheltered homeless people over the course of a year.
This site contains newsletters, reports, fact sheets, and opinion pieces produced by the North Carolina Justice Center, a group created to eliminate poverty in North Carolina.
