The Partnerships in Aging Program (PiAP) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) ended on June 30, 2024. The Office of the Provost determined that PiAP no longer fit with their strategies for campus centers and institutes.
What happened to PiAP's community partnerships?
• Community partnerships will continue through collaboration with the Community Practice Lab.
• The PiAP website was deactivated December 31, 2024. Resources were downloadable through that date.
What did PiAP do?
• PiAP facilitated university-community collaboration.
• PiAP helped develop priorities and initiatives related to aging.
• PiAP helped build creative solutions to cultivate communities and people who embrace aging.
Previous PiAP directors:
• Cherie Rosemond was the director of PiAP from January 2016 through February 2023.
