This guide provides access to georeferenced historical maps in formats suitable for use in Geographic Information System (GIS) software. Three different collections are available.
These maps were digitized and georeferenced for the following projects: Going to the Show, North Carolina Maps, and Driving Through Time: The Digital Blue Ridge Parkway. These projects were funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the State Library of North Carolina.
