Nonvisual Description:
The Sanborn Maps depict various North Carolina cities and towns at different dates from 1884 to 1922. Each Map depicts the roads, buildings, and parcels for a given year, with buildings color-coded by building material. Roads are labeled by name and buildings are labeled by function and street number.
These links open web maps with the Sanborn® maps displayed on top of current imagery.
These maps are in XYZ tile format and can be added to online and desktop mapping applications. Follow these instructions to add the map tiles to your favorite mapping application:

Note that you will need to navigate to the city's location in your map after adding the tile layer.
