She previously worked as a Research and Education Informationist and Liaison Librarian to the College of Pharmacy at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Emily obtained her Master of Library and Information Studies degree from University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is a provisional member of the Medical Library Association's Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP).
