The NC Lawyer Referral Service is a nonprofit public service sponsored by the North Carolina Bar Association Foundation to assist citizens in need of legal assistance.

Additionally, Legal Aid of North Carolina maintains a disaster resource library with videos on topics such as replacing lost documents, pet disaster preparedness, mortgages and disaster recovery, property taxes and disaster recovery, information regarding the ReBuild NC program, and many others. 

Legal Aid of North Carolina has a Tropical Storm Helene Disaster Assistance page with news, handbooks (available as videos and PDFs), and links to state and national resources.

North Carolina Bar Association has a Hurricane Resources page that has information regarding the North Carolina Disaster Legal Services (DLS) Hotline.

The Disaster Distress Helpline, provided by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, is a 24/7, national, toll-free hotline that provides crises support services to those experiencing emotional distress related to disasters. 

The Legal Aid Disaster Resource Center page on North Carolina Tropical Storm Helene provides important deadlines for applications, safety and shelter resources, and information on accessing legal aid. 

The North Carolina State Board of Elections provides information for voters impacted by Helene. 

SBA Disaster Loans are available for homeowners, renters, and business owners. This resource provides information for filing for home disaster, business physical disaster, and economic injury disaster loans.
