What's in this guide?

This guide provides an overview of the technology and tools available in the Library MakerSpace. The MakerSpace is available for use by UNC affiliated students, staff, and faculty.

Each page is dedicated to a specific resource in the MakerSpace. Listed below are the pages and their descriptions. 

  • 3D Printing - An overview of the 3D printing service available at the Library Makerspace.
  • 3D Imaging - An overview of the 3D scanners and post processing software available.
  • Seed Library - An overview of what the seed library is and how you can use this resource.
  • Sewing - An overview of the sewing machine and other related resources available in the Library MakerSpace.

  • Electronics and Soldering - An overview of soldering and other electronics in the Library MakerSpace.

The Library Makerspace Location and General Information

The Library MakerSpace is located on the entrance level of the Undergraduate Library in room 130. The Library Makerspace offers a collaborative work space, arts and crafts materials, a 3D printing service, a Cricut Maker, a sewing machine, soldering and other electronics equipment, and 3D scanners. Please come and visit us! Hours available here.
