CSEFEL is a national resource center funded by the Office of Head Start and Child Care Bureau for disseminating research and evidence-based practices to early childhood programs across the country. It is based at Vanderbilt University.

NCHAM at Utah State University, is funded in part by the Maternal & Child Health Bureau of the US Dept. of Health & Human Services Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA). It serves as the National Technical Resource Center for the implementation and improvement of comprehensive and effective Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) system. As a multidisciplinary Center, their goal is to ensure that all infants and toddlers with hearing loss are identified as early as possible and provided with timely and appropriate audiological, educational, and medical intervention.
