STORM Guide: Background

Student Organization Records Management Guide

Who are you?

Stack of newspapers and words "what's your story" written in blue word bubble

By documenting your organization’s activities and donating your records to the University Archives you can create a lasting legacy and provide references for future researchers, therefore, turning up the volume of the voices coming from your student organization. Your work is a major part of campus history and we want people to be able to explore it. It is helpful for us at University Archives to create a collection that is helpful and representative of the entire population at Carolina. What's the story you want to tell?

Who are we?

University Archives

The University Archives is one of the five collecting areas at UNC-Chapel Hill's Wilson Special Collections Library. In the University Archives we collect documents, photos, audio/visual materials, and other records that document the history of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Students are an essential part in telling the full history of the university and that’s why we’ve created this guide; to make sure your organization gets the chance to tell part of the story!
