The “Getting Started” section of this brief, well-organized Guide walks you through getting started as an easy-to-follow checklist:
- create an account
- work through a Beginner’s tutorial for Editing, Formatting, and Citation Guidelines
- read about the 5 Pillars of Wikipedia
Then, if you’d like you can follow the instructions in “Userpages & sandboxes” to create your user page and sandbox to experiment with the software and get a little editing practice.
Or you can just start looking for pages to edit or citations to add. You are ready to go!
