Equipment Room @ MEJO: Community Standards & Policies

Equipment Room Community Standards

Help us keep these resources available for others by following our guidelines. The Equipment Room contains items shared among multiple students, and we expect that everyone will adhere to these standards. Failure to follow guidelines may result in penalties. Updated August 2021.

We expect students will:

  • Arrive promptly to borrow your gear.
  • Properly care for equipment borrowed.
  • Report damaged or lost gear immediately to us at (919) 442-8077.
  • Be financially responsible for equipment checked out. This may mean paying for lost or damaged equipment.
  • Return ALL gear, including cords and cables, batteries, lens caps, etc.
  • Return equipment by the due date.

Please follow these standards to keep this gear available for our whole community.

Reporting lost or damaged equipment

After checking out, students should check equipment for broken or missing parts before leaving the library. Notify library staff if your equipment is not in good shape.

While you have gear, we know things can happen. It's important to report damaged or lost gear as soon as possible!
