Returning Gear

On (or before) your due date, return your gear to Park Library. You can check when items are due on your Connect2 account. Note that different types of equipment have different due dates, so some equipment may need to be turned in before others.

If you are unable to return your gear by the due date, contact Park Library as soon as possible.

Check-in Best Practices

Follow these directions for a smoother check-in process:

  • Check cameras for SD cards and remove any batteries.
  • Make sure all parts are in the right places: lens caps on lenses, plate and screw on tripods, etc.
  • For kits, go through the list found on the tag and make sure all pieces are together. Double check for chargers and cords.

Remember to contact Park Library staff immediately if gear is lost or broken while in your care. During the check-in process, let the staff member know about any damage, especially if you have not already reported it.

Late Returns

Return your gear on time - or early: it's likely that someone else is checking out the equipment you have after you turn it in, so if you are unable to make your equipment due time, please notify Park Library as soon as possible.

Warnings: You will get several email reminders about returning your gear. Once gear is two days late, you and your instructor will receive email notice of the warning. You are allowed two warnings per semester. Your third warning could result in a suspension from using the Equipment Room.

Late fees: Currently, there are no late fees, but you adversely impact your fellow students when you fail to return your gear on time. Review the Community Standards and Policies for more information.
