Using eBooks at UNC

How to locate, access, and navigate ebooks through the UNC Libraries collection

Searching the UNC Libraries Catalog for eBooks

Follow these steps to identify ebooks available through UNC Libraries:

  1. Go to the UNC Chapel Hill Libraries catalog. Enter a search term in the catalog search bar – a topic, a title, an author, etc.

  2. On the search results page, click the box labeled “Available Online” under “Limit your search.”

  3. The results have now been filtered to ebooks available through UNC Libraries. To access an ebook, click on the “Full text available via the UNC-Chapel Hill Libraries” link.

    1. From here, access to the ebook will depend on the platform or publisher hosting the ebook. See more detailed instructions about platforms in the next section of this guide.
