Institutional access to the Aspen Learning Library is available at this link to the UNC Law community with their ONYEN and password. This will provide users with read-only access to all the ebook content.

Aspen Learning Library allows for the creation of personalized accounts for the UNC Law community. Creating an account allows users to take advantage of more features within the ebook platform, including saving notes, bookmarks, highlights, favorites, etc.
To create a personalized account, login to your institutional account from a web browser as noted above. Click "Register" and create your username and password.
Once you have created the account, continue to navigate to the institutional account homepage, then click "Login" to utilize the personalized account.
On the Bookshelf homepage, there is an option to filter all ebooks by subject area, series, or course level. Click on the link to "Filter By" on the upper right corner of the bookshelf.
On the Bookshelf homepage, there is a search bar at the top. Slow-type a title, author, or subject area to see a list of available ebooks.
Alternatively, click on the "Advanced Search" link to open the advanced search page for keyword searching with Boolean operators AND, NOT, and OR. The advanced search will also allow you to search across the text of the entire catalog that is available in your subscription - just make sure to select "My Shelf Content" in the advanced search box.
Creating a personalized account for Aspen Learning Library and downloading the app will allow users to take full advantage of the following special features.
If you navigate to the Aspen Learning Library webpage through the institutional account or personalized account, links are available to download the app to various devices.
eBooks may be read online by clicking "Read Online" using the browser. However, books may also be downloaded to devices through the app for offline reading.
Navigate to the book you would like to download for offline reading on the app, then click on the download icon or the book cover image to download the book. The book will then be saved on your device for offline reading.
There is no limit to the number of books you can download at one time. Downloads stay on the bookshelf for 120 days.
While logged in with your personalized account, users can create Shelves to organize books. Click the "Bookshelf" tab at the top of the library hompage to create a shelf, then add titles by clicking the "Add to Shelf" icon.
While reading an ebook online or offline, advanced features allow users to highlight text, create annotations, and bookmark pages. These actions will be saved while using a personalized account.
