- Data.govUnited States portal for open datasets.
- Sage DataStatistical dataset repository with built-in visualization tools.
- ICPSRSocial science data repository providing access to data files and documentation for use with statistical software.
- StatistaInternational statistics focusing on industry and market research data.
- UNdataProvides simultaneous access to 14 statistical databases from the United Nations and other international organizations through one interface. Areas of coverage include agriculture, education, energy, industry, labor, national accounts, population, tourism and trade. Includes Millennium Development Goals indicators, and UN Key Global Indicators.
- World Bank DataData sets directly from the World Bank. Find data by country, by topic, or by specific indicator, or go directly to "Data Catalog" for their open data sets.

Statistical
The Odum Institute is a service and research unit of the University of North Carolina. Its staff provides statistical services including workshops, seminars, and software access. Odum is located in Manning Hall.

Mathematical and Statistical
The UNC Research Computing Group provides support for mathematical and statistical software applications, as well as technical information and assistance for supported research software to the UNC-CH community. The statistical computing web pages provide general information about computing on the statistical server, include documentation and usage instructions, and address commonly asked questions.
GIS & Data Services
The GIS and Data Services unit in Davis Library provides assistance in finding geospatial data and offers research consultations.

- Browse Statistical Applications. A shortcut is on all HSL student desktops.
Note: Do not confuse the Virtual Lab http://virtuallab.unc.edu with the Virtual Computing Lab http://vcl.unc.edu. They are different services. If you have questions about using computers at the HSL, visit the HSL front desk or call 919-962-0800.
