Lean Library Workspace Update

The Lean Library Extension has replaced the Sciwheel Browser Extension, and the Sciwheel Browser Extension does not work anymore.

All users should install and learn to use the new Lean Library extension right away. 

Learning to Use Lean Library Workspace (Sciwheel)

If you're new to Lean Library Workspace (Sciwheel), there are a few ways to learn how to use it. 

  • The Health Sciences Library offers introductory classes on Lean Library Workspace (Sciwheel) about once a month while university classes are in session. Basic Lean Library Workspace (Sciwheel) classes are taught on a monthly basis at the Health Sciences Library. View schedule of upcoming classes at the HSL.  
  • There are several good tutorials on their website and YouTube Channel. There is a Lean Library Workspace playlist that will get you off to a good start.

Lean Library Workspace (Sciwheel) Support 

Lean Library Workspace (Sciwheel) Support includes a searchable knowledge base.  This 24/7 online site is also available from within Lean Library Workspace (Sciwheel), using the chat help button and clicking on knowledge base. 

You can also fill out and submit a support request, use the chat bot, or request office hours support from a human.  

NOTE: Lean Library Workspace (Sciwheel) support is based in the UK, so the office hours are from 8am to 6pm UK time, Monday to Friday. 

Lean Library Workspace Tutorials

The transition from Sciwheel to Lean Library Workspace is new, and we will share the updated resources as they come out. 

Lean Library has a database of frequently asked questions (FAQs) that are meant to answer specific issues that users have asked multiple times. The intention is to find an answer quickly. The FAQs are split into two sections: Getting Started and Lean Library Workspace.
