Boolean searching helps you connect search terms to find fewer (narrows) or more (broadens) results when you search in many databases, some e-journals, and the UNC catalog boolean search box (advanced link). Boolean searching depends on the use of three terms: AND, OR, and NOT (or AND NOT). Enter these terms in ALL CAPS because many search engines are case sensitive for these terms.
This includes moving a book from any UNC-Chapel Hill library to the Health Sciences Library for convenient pick-up.

You can come to the library to get articles available only in print at the library. Scanners available on the first floor of HSL to scan and email articles to yourself for free. Ask for help at the service desk.
